5 thousand 500 constables will be taken in the police

 Bangladesh Police Force has released a notification for the recruitment of Trainee Recruit Constable (TRC). According to the notification, 5 thousand 500 constables will be appointed from 64 districts of the country. Out of this 4 thousand 675 men and 825 women will be appointed.

According to the district-wise vacancies, the maximum number of candidates will be taken from Dhaka district, 460. Then 291 people from Chittagong district. Vacancies of all districts can be seen in this link.

 Application for the post of Constable has started from 2nd December and will continue till 28th December 2022. Applicants must be permanent citizens of Bangladesh and unmarried. Divorcees are not eligible.

Eligibility of Application

Candidates age should be between 18 to 20 years as on 28 December 2022. Those who have reached the upper age limit on March 25, 2020 can also apply. Candidate must have passed SSC or equivalent examination. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Physical fitness

Height of male candidates should be 5 feet 6 inches for general and other quotas. 5 feet 4 inches for minority caste and valiant freedom fighters (except grandchildren of valiant freedom fighters) quota. Height of female candidates should be 5 feet 4 inches for general and other quotas. 5 feet 2 inches in case of minority caste and heroic freedom fighters quota.

Chest size of male candidates is 31 inches in normal and 33 inches in expanded for normal and other quotas. 30 inches in normal condition and 31 inches in extended condition in case of Veer Muktijoddha quota.

Salary and benefits

After successful completion of training will be appointed as Bangladesh Police Constable in Grade 17 (9,000-21,800). Must stay as an apprentice for two years. The post of constable will be made permanent on completion of two years satisfactory service from the date of announcement of apprenticeship. There is an opportunity to go to UN peacekeeping missions with promotion to higher posts as per police force rules.
